We the people...
have certain rights. This page will be continually updated as to the RIGHTS OF THE TEACHER.
YOU will
be able to read about grievances going before a School Board, Workers' Compensation claims, and EEOC hearing going to
the Texas Independent Review and the Benefits Review Hearings. You will read about the results and who and what you
should do if you need help. You will also be able to contribute to the future of the education system with a voice.
As teachers become united, their voice will be heard from the classroom to the courtroom.
You may ask, why are we doing this?
1. Because
80% of the women who come to Texas Women's Outreach are Highly Qualified and Certified Texas Teachers.
2. Teachers need to know their rights.
Many times it is not clear what a teacher's rights are, what are your rights, and what
can do to get help.
3. Teachers are instructors, they teach by manuals, rules and codes of ethic.
Knowing the five W's have long been the keys to being informed,
engaged in communication, and successfully being equipped to be Highly Qualified as a Texas teachers.
4. Teachers need a safe place to talk about the Elephant in the
Classroom.
5. Teachers in the United State of
America are currently exhausted with the demands and stress that is ever present in their classroom as well as on their campus.
6. Teachers can unite and have their voice heard.
This is one more place where laws need to become specific to the teacher.
We will
offer accurate and documented facts to teachers as to how to unite in the issues that have gone unheard in our Education System
and in our State and Federal Courts.
